This question is without a doubt the most relevant and important question in physics and philosophy. There are basically two schools of thought concerning this problem. There is the classical physics approach as was put forth by people like Newton, Maxwell, Lorentz and Einstein and there is the Quantum Mechanics approach which was established by Bohr, Born and Heisenberg. Now in the following years since the Bohr-Einstein debates in which Bohr and Quantum Mechanics was considered the winner we still have a major dilemma. All the worlds best theoretical physicists and mathematicians have not been able to unify the primary forces of nature. This lack of advancement in the last 100 years indicates in my opinion that there is something seriously wrong in the field of theoretical physics. This fact has led me to the question why hasn't the world's best intellects been unable to solve the Unified Field Theory problem?
The answer I came up with was that the physicists are trying to prove something that is not true. They are trying to use the wrong system of mathematics and the wrong interpretation of our physical reality in order to discover the Unified Field Theory. What has happened is because modern day science believes that Quantum Theory and now also String Theory are the path to the Unified Field Theory they have taken all of science down the rabbit hole. This means that every attempt to unify gravity which is a true force to particle interactions which are not true forces has led to failure. Instead of realizing that the Standard Model is woefully incorrect they continue to propose new alternative theories to unite gravity to the so called strong, weak and electromagnetic forces. All attempts have failed yet physicists continue to journey deeper into the rabbit hole.
There is an old saying that goes like this: The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results. That is what I say has happened to theoretical physics. Judge for yourself. Here is a list of the many attempts for explaining Gravity that have been spawned by the Quantum Theory paradigm.

None of theses theoretical attempts has been proven correct. They all have failed yet we continue to try and use Quantum Mechanics as the foundation for a theory of gravity. Maybe Quantum Mechanics and its most celebrated child the Standard Model are incorrect. We should stop traveling deeper into the rabbit hole. A new approach is needed.
The solution for the Unified Field Theory can be found in my theory. It is called the Theory of Super Relativity. I will now tell you why QM is the wrong approach and how to get us back on the right path.
First of all, I believe the Standard Model is incorrect at its very foundation. Physicists have raised particle interactions to an inappropriate level of importance. Particle interactions SHOULD NOT BE CLASSIFIED AS FORCES. Only the three primary fields of force should be classified as forces. These are the forces that cause action at distance via a localized connection with in the continuous medium. The truth is all objects (or particles) reside in and are consubstantial with the ether. Everything is a part of and connected within the medium.
This means that the electromagnetic force the strong force and the weak force should be demoted to simple particle interactions. What is important about particle interactions is not so much their results. What is important is what is physically going on in between the particles that causes the effects we measure in the lab. It is really about understanding the cause and effects of interactions. So according to my interpretation of reality we must remove these particle interactions from the Standard Model. This means only gravity remains as a true force in the model. That would not make for a very exciting model. What we need to do add into the model the other true forces of nature.
Before I discuss the primary forces I must discuss the definition and origin of force. According to the theory of Super Relativity force or action a distance happens as a result of a deformation of the ether. The ether or space is a real physical object that is a quasi-elastic solid. It is the stage or medium in which all forces and particle interactions take place. There are only 3 force fields which are deformations in the ether medium. This medium is continuous solid. It is not a particle field. The proof that space or the ether is real has already been established but the evidence has been ignored by modern day scientists. The evidence is as follows:
1. Space is a solid is proven by the fact that all particles which move within space are transverse waves. It is a known scientific fact that transverse waves can only travel within a solid.
2. Inertial resistance also proves that space is not an empty void. When an object accelerates a resistance to the acceleration is experienced by the accelerating object. When a rocket ship accelerates in outer space the occupants will experience a gravitational effect and be pushed back into their seat. As long as the rocket accelerates inertia is experienced. The one and only thing the rocket is interacting with is the accelerated motion through outer space. Obviously if space was made of nothing inertial resistance would not happen. Therefore this is more evidence that space is a real physical object.
3. Space has physical properties that are measurable. Space has two measurable physical properties, they are permittivity and permeability of free space. If space were made of nothing as many scientists and mathematicians would claim then the only possible value for permittivity and permeability would be a value of 0. The actual measurable value for the permittivity of space is, 8.85 x 10-12farad per meter (F/m). The actual measurable permeability of space is 4π x 10-7N/A2(newtons per ampere squared). Clearly the scientific and factual evidence indicates that space is a real physical thing.
4. Time exists in this reality because space is a real physical object that is composed of a measurable material and therefore has a density. This density of space allows space to manifest a measurable distance. If space were equal to nothing then it would not have a physical, measurable distance. According to the equation Time =Distance/Rate if space did not physically exist the distance between any 2 points in space would always be equal to zero. If this were true then it would take no time for light to travel between distant points in the universe. We know that it is not true as it takes time for light to travel through space. Therefore space is composed of a real physical substance and it takes a finite measurable amount of time to travel though space.
I have just clearly established beyond any reasonable doubt that the ether does exist and we need to deal with that fact. Now I will explain the real primary forces of nature as being force fields that exist in various forms of the bending of the continuous, stationary quasi-elastic solid.
1. The ultimate primary force of nature is the electrostatic force or the Coulomb force. This occurs as the result of a persistent deformation of space that is in the shape of a geometric twist, a three dimensional spiral that results in a vortex configuration. This geometric configuration creates a pressure wave within all particles and I call this pressure wave the SlipWave Ⓒ 2020. The SlipWave causes an autonomous velocity for all particles. All particles are forever in perpetual motion. The bridging mechanism for the three primary forces happens as a result of particles moving within space. When particles move through space they cause space to bend. Bent space then tells particles which way to move.
2. The next force is the magnetic force. The magnetic force happens and is completely dependent upon moving charge. Magnetic fields only happen as a result of moving charges. A magnetic field is therefore a torsional reaction to a charge moving through the ether (space). Space rotates around the electrostatic charge as it moves within space.
3. Here is the money shot. Gravity is the final primary force of nature. It is also as Einstein said a bending of space. I say gravity is a contraction of space. The contraction of space occurs as a result of the accelerated motion of fundamental unbalanced charges. That is a powerful statement. It requires a great deal of critical analysis by physicists in order to comprehend its full meaning. I can tell you this, the fuller explanation comes from Einstein's happiest thought. You should look it up. It is best described in Amir Aczel's book "God's Equation" page 59.
An important side note is the definition of inertia. Inertia is caused by a contraction of space when ever a particle with mass moves through space. This contraction only happens when unbalanced charges move within space. Balanced charges like the photon do not contract because they travel in a linear non-accelerated way. This means that photons will not generate mass. I have just explained why photons do not generate mass. This discovery is a big deal.
The final evidence I offer for the theory of Super Relativity which is a theory that uses the concept of the ether as a foundation is this statement by Einstein. This statement comes from Einstein's speech which he gave on 5 May 1920 at the University of Leiden. This is authoritative proving the existence of the ether.
"Recapitulating, we may say that according to the general theory of relativity space is endowed with physical qualities; in this sense, therefore, there exists an ether. According to the general theory of relativity space without ether is unthinkable; for in such space there not only would be no propagation of light, but also no possibility of existence for standards of space and time (measuring-rods and clocks), nor therefore any space-time intervals in the physical sense."
I believe that the Theory of Super Relativity is the best candidate or explanation for the Unified Field Theory. I can finally answer questions like this because my book is copyrighted it is now safe for me to talk about the theory of Super Relativity..
